Fifth Lecture in Kadambari Badami Memorial Lecture Series

Transparent Chennai would like to invite you to the fifth in a series of lectures in honor of Kadambari Badami Vamanan.

Kadambari trained as an urban planner and worked in the US, before returning to India and working with a number of organizations on planning issues, most recently leading Transparent Chennai’s work on walkability. Kadambari was passionate about creating safer streets, especially for pedestrians and cyclists, and for engaging citizens in designing and monitoring their own roads.She passed away in a road accident in her hometown of Bangalore on March 2, 2014.

This lecture series is an attempt to bring greater awareness to the issues that inspired her work.
